EQUESTRIAN RANCH
NICASIO, CA
The goal for this renovation was to transform a 1970s-era mission-style house that had not been touched for four decades into a light and airy home with a contemporary feel. Totalling 7,653 square feet, with eight bedrooms and six baths, the project was extensive. Dark, heavy materials, heavy, ornate beams and four expansive fireplaces were among the structure’s many challenges.
Our approach was to peel back the layers to reveal the structure’s strong bones, streamlining the home’s defining interior beams, and introducing a neutral palate with just the right balance of light and dark.
