Sometimes the best projects are born out of the most unexpected of circumstances.  For this special client, the renovation of her home in San Rafael represented a new start, a project she would embrace entirely on her own - with the help of Paulina Perrault Interiors. With a sense of trust earned through a long-term friendship, client and designer locked arms and moved forward on a transformative renewal of the existing structure. For this project, Paulina and her team moved beyond the walls of the studio, digging deep into a career rich in experience to reimagine the home and realize its potential.

Keeping in mind the three touch points that create emotional attachment in any residential environment - the front door, the kitchen and the primary bedroom - Paulina and her client embarked on a renovation that would bring out the home’s magic. Designed around her client’s treasured anchor pieces, the home is an ode to creative problem-solving, where custom built-ins and inventive storage solutions abound. A refined neutral palette with a strong dose of black forms a sophisticated, yet welcoming environment for a new season of life.
